# robinhood chain

RobinFun runs on **Robinhood Chain**, an Ethereum Layer 2 that uses **ETH as its native gas token**. Everything on RobinFun — launching, trading, and fees — happens in native ETH on this chain.

## Network details

Use these values to add the network to any EVM wallet:

| Field           | Value                                     |
| --------------- | ----------------------------------------- |
| Network name    | Robinhood Chain                           |
| Chain ID        | `4663`                                    |
| Currency symbol | ETH                                       |
| RPC URL         | `https://rpc.mainnet.chain.robinhood.com` |
| Block explorer  | `https://robinhoodchain.blockscout.com`   |

> **Note**: Chain ID `4663` spells **HOOD** on a phone keypad.

## Add the network to your wallet

Most EVM wallets (MetaMask, Rabby, and others) support custom networks:

1. Open your wallet's **network** menu and choose **Add network** (or **Add a custom network / RPC**).
2. Enter the values from the table above.
3. Save, then switch to **Robinhood Chain**.

You can also add the network automatically from a chain directory such as ChainList. Always double-check the chain ID (`4663`) and the RPC URL against this page before approving.

> **Note**: The RobinFun app can also add and switch the network for you — see [Connect a wallet](broken://pages/2630010ac0ac0a70e3352fe404beae06e6e10c35).

## Get ETH on Robinhood Chain

You need ETH on chain `4663` to pay gas and to buy tokens. ETH is the native currency, so gas works exactly like on Ethereum mainnet. Bridge or acquire ETH on Robinhood Chain before launching or trading.

## Tokens end in …4663

Every token launched through the RobinFun factory is deployed to a **vanity address ending in `…4663`** — the chain ID itself. It's a quick visual signal that a token was created through RobinFun's factory. See [Contract addresses](broken://pages/9900e8f3df757cc7b9261705ec25681831aae6e0).

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://robinfun.gitbook.io/robinfun-docs/robinhood-chain.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
